Communication

I believe I have good Communication and Coordination skills. I had taken fire tech at Foothill High school and had undergone various radio and communication drills, as well as using basic radio communications daily at the Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility.

Leadership

I believe I exhibit good Leadership skills as I always try to take the initiative. I would rather be the first person to try something out than the last. I enjoy leading others and giving them advice and encouragement. I like helping others and pointing out ways to increase efficiency and safety within the workplace. I will not hesitate to ask questions, nor will I hesitate to point out whether something is wrong, or whether work is being conducted in an unsafe manner.

Additional Information

I am currently a student at Siskiyou College, I am studying Post Basic course Module III, II, and I, in which I am on track to graduate in December of 2025. I have experience in Firefighting and Medical training and Juvenile Detention Officer duties. During High school I took fire tech for 2 years and gained many certifications in doing so. Around my second year in Fire tech, I began my ride alongs when I realized I no longer wanted to pursue a career in Firefighting.

After my realization, I turned to Law Enforcement as a field that fit my ambitions. I have now attended college for 2 years and have learned lots about the criminal justice system. I am eager to begin my career and learn more about the Redding Police Department.

I believe this job will be beneficial for me for many reasons. First, I can put my education about the criminal justice system to work with the experience I have obtained. I believe it could help me with my desires to pursue a career with the Redding Police Department. I am also a local resident of Redding and want to improve my community.
