Job overview

  • Examined incoming truck logs to prepare for inventory (we had to removed these huge custom ordered trusses for new homes being built before we could even get to the normal lumber yard inventory. Building materials would always be under these huge trusses that almost took an engineer to figure out how to pick up safely & once you move those across the yard, you fell comfortable moving anything else with our forklifts, Loading and unloading both Semis and contractor's took up a huge part of the day. Then the rest would be spent making sure all our bags of building wood were full along with walls of shingles on the side of huge warehouses, 1000s of pallets with hundreds of pounds of retaining wall, cement blocks, patio stone, pallets of dirt, fertilizer, and ECT. Where being picked up by either hand or forklift all day long. Good job to stay in shape and get paid to workout about half of every shift.
  • Marked-down clearance items and relocated merchandise to proper store areas with the lifts
  • Liaised with Yard management & marketing diagrams for new inventory placement and daily plan.
  • Coordinated with other departments to address any maintenance or repair needs, etc
  • Ensured timely completion of nightly duties, allowing staff to leave on schedule each night.
  • Implemented daily operating procedures to keep store clean, adequately stocked, and well-organized.

I've even got to the point the the small business I started last summer, selling self sourced tactical equipment has grew to the point I'm now looking for a building or small warehouse to rent

•Fork lift certified X2. More than capable carrying anything with a lift.
