PERSONAL
After raising three daughters and working off and on as a legal assistant for 20 years, injury struck via several accidents and my disability was determined in 1999. Divorced in 2009, I pursued a passion for serving God's people via a prayer ministry, then relocated to Ohio to attend seminary full time.
EDUCATION:
While pursuing a masters in practical theology, 2011, with a major in Spiritual Formation, doctoral classes were finished and it was time to relocate back to Arizona to complete work on my dissertation (2013). My doctorate was conferred in May, 2020. Seminary associates met prior to graduation, were waiting to join in the creation of a Formational Prayer in Counseling Program as part of a Masters in Spiritual Transformation.
AUTHORSHIP
While working on my Masters in Practical Theology, I received a Masters Certificate in Formational Prayer (an inner healing protocol) from a Professor, Dr. Terry Wardle. Spiritual Formation: The Intersection of Theology and Neuroscience (2020) is a summary of my dissertation and a culmination of my time spent at seminary.
Formational Prayer (inner healing prayer) is a ministry based on the fields of Pastoral counseling, neuroscience and psychology. It is transformative. As a Formational Counselor and Professional educator I possess helpful communication and instruction experience.
PROFESSIONAL
I easily adapt to different classroom settings and subjects. I enjoy a variety of styles and concepts and can work within constraints of school guidelines and policies. I am a life-long learner. Keen observation has prompted change in teaching styles based on student need and/ or subject matter.
With an outgoing personality and a history of professional relationships with students and faculty, I have exhibited maximum work ethic and a professional ability to assess and monitor student progress and developing instructional plans. Fostering students' critical thinking and commitment to a course of life-long learning, while connecting course material to personal and broader situations, as well as current events, is a priority.
A background in counseling and a passion for teaching have also fostered superior project management skills and focus on student academic development and success. I focus on providing a clear understanding of tasks to be completed and skills to be learned.
I am excited to find the team that will become the object of my devoted attention and efforts. I am a reliable and organized employee and would prefer a position that offers an opportunity to learn and grow with professional challenges and would utilize interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills. As a 65 year old grandmother, I have learned to work under pressure while maintaining self-care and commitment to personal relationships with God and family. One of the advantages I have over younger applicants is wisdom and a mature spirituality.
