• As Finance Coordinator at RYLA, I assist the Finance Director in managing budgets, researching affordable pricing options, and negotiating rates for conference expenses. My role includes tracking all income and expenses with thorough documentation and supporting the purchasing team by organizing inventory, building supply lists, and addressing any financial questions with the finance director.

Senior Counselor (Sep. 2023-Sep. 2024)

• As a senior counselor at RYLA, I guided and supported 3 junior counselors and their groups from training weekend through the conference. I maintained regular communication with JCs, ensuring they completed tasks and were prepared. During the conference, I facilitated group activities, managed group dynamics, assisted with supplies, and provided guidance for challenges. I also contributed content for recruitment and offered leadership insights to conferees, serving as a positive role model and support system.

Junior Counselor (Apr. 2023-Sep 2023)

• As a junior counselor at RYLA, I guided and mentored a group of 11 participants, helping them brainstorm and develop a meaningful group project. I provided support, facilitated discussions, and encouraged teamwork, ensuring each participant contributed to the project’s success.

Conferee (June 2022)

• As a RYLA conferee, I gained valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management. I learned how to collaborate effectively, step into leadership roles confidently, and navigate challenges with a positive mindset.
