about me

VOLUNTEER WORK

I actively participate in various community groups, including my church and neighborhood. Every weekend, I help some of my elderly neighbors with their yard work. Unlike many, I find yard work both calming and physically engaging. It allows me to assist others while staying active outside of my usual gym routine. Additionally, through my church group, I visit those in need to offer prayers and support. I strongly believe in the power of faith and that the word of God can bring comfort and healing to those facing hardships.

HOBBIES

My day-to-day hobbies include coding games and playing pickup basketball with my friends. These activities keep me engaged, prevent me from becoming lazy, and allow me to explore passions I never thought that i would enjoy. For instance, when I first started playing basketball, I couldn’t make a shot to save my life. However, through consistent practice and perseverance, I have transformed into one of the most accurate shooters in my league.

Coding, on the other hand, has always been something I’ve loved, though I sometimes struggle with getting started on new projects. Over time, I’ve landed a few freelance coding jobs, which I found rewarding. Not just because of the handsome payouts but also because of the satisfaction of building something from nothing.

The gym is another passion of mine, one that has played a significant role in my self-improvement journey. Since I started lifting with my friend Asher, who has invited me to join him each week, my strength has nearly doubled. With each passing day, I feel stronger, and more confident in my abilities.

Lately, I’ve taken up gardening, and surprisingly, it’s going better than expected. When I started two months ago, I had only a single rose bush, but now, I still have that same rose bush. While that might not seem like much, the fact that I’ve managed to keep a plant alive for two months proves to me that I’m capable of more than I think. Plus, roses smell really nice.

FRIENDS

Every week, I make it a priority to spend time with my friends. Whether we’re watching a movie, playing basketball, or just goofing around, the activity itself doesn’t matter. What’s important is the time we share together. Some may say that food and water are man's greatest necessities, but I believe that friendship is. Unlike food and water, friendship gives a person a sense of purpose—something to look forward to. Without friends, none of us would be the people we are today, so I always make sure to appreciate and be grateful for the friendships I have.

FAMILY

As my grandma always says, "Family isn’t just one thing, it’s everything." On weekends, when I’m not working, I make it a goal to spend time with at least one family member, whether it be my mom, dad, sister, or grandma. Sometimes I take them out to lunch, while other times we just sit back and watch one of their favorite shows or movies.

I believe that true joy comes from bringing joy to others. Through these hangouts, I always learn something—sometimes about them, sometimes about myself, and sometimes about life itself. My parents have always been there to support me. they have helped me apply to jobs and be responsible with my money. to say that they have helped me a little is an understatement. I will always appreciate their love and support. Every day, I strive to become the kind of man they would be proud of.
