During my tenure at Meridian High School I took advantage of the Auto-Repair classes offered, and I had completed all four years of automotive basic training. After obtaining my diploma, I sought out work related to my studies and I got my foot in the door as a Lube Tech at Kendall Ford of Meridian. Working shoulder to shoulder with more experienced people had helped tremendously with building my general knowledge of day-to-day duties, shop maintenance, and team building. After about a year of preforming well as a tech, an opportunity surfaced to learn how the Advisors operate and I couldn't turn it down. The new position started with getting comfortable being more customer oriented. Greeting customers, breaking the ice, getting a good understand peoples needs and creating timelines all became more and more natural to me. Invoicing repair orders, filing claims with aftermarket warranties, working with inspectors and adjustors, maintaining a schedule that is communicated to the customers and doing everything in my power to stay true to the expected promises made were more things learned the longer i stayed in this position. I wrote service for the Quicklane for a little over one year and that time was both very challenging and rewarding. I then moved to the Main Service Drive again for about another year and there were a whole new set of skills needed to make this new position work. I was fortunate to have spent a year learning tricks of the trade next to some very experienced, professional, and kind people. The work-load was getting more and more difficult to manage on a day-to-day basis. It was decided that moving me back into the Quicklane would help me continue to learn as I now was more comfortable working with more aftermarket warranties, larger repairs, and working with larger accounts, and this is where I still reside today. I love the people I work with, I have a passion for the line of work we preform, and being able to help somebody and make a difference to them makes the difficulties of the job worth doing. I have began studying directly under Ford through their STARS program and I currently have 60 certifications. I wanted to be able to learn as many aspects of how a dealership runs, operates, and manages.

I have been playing guitar off and on for the better part of 10 years, I have a Les Paul and my music taste has changed from Thrash, Groove, and Hair metal to a more calm bluesy type of sound, which has its own set of nuances. I started playing because it was the only think around me to help pass time and I haven't put it down really since. I recently got a 1983 Mazda Rx7-GSL project car that I am still stripping and cleaning as it has been a project long before I got my hands on it. It is a unique vehicle with a rich history of racing pedigree and it is very light. I would love to keep it as a rotary powered vehicle as that is how it came from Mazda, but the cost to power output ratio does not seem to second that notion. During the beginning of the Pandemic, my wife Sarah was laid off and I remained at work. we adopted a One year old tuxedo colored cat named Larry and he has been the head of the household ever since. About nine months ago I found a stray tuxedo kitten in out parts department hiding under pallets and old parts, I took him in and he is now a fat healthy boy named Dale. I have been focused on my work fo the past almost 5 years and have done very little traveling and vacationing. I married my middle-school sweet heart in August of 21' and I couldn't be happier.
