I started out at Walmart as a Team Associate

As a sales floor associate, your responsibilities include:


1. Providing customer service throughout your entire shift by acknowledging and assisting customers in your assigned service area and throughout the store.

2. Working exceptions and zoning, which involves collecting returns from the Service Desk, spot-checking out-of-date items, restocking returns as you zone, managing clearance and deleted merchandise, and zoning the sales floor.

As a Team Lead, your responsibilities include:


1. Managing Time Off Requests and Attendance Exceptions to improve the work experience for your associates .

2. Conducting daily team huddles, connecting with your team on assignments, priorities, area performance, cross-training, and feedback.

3. Reviewing schedules and supporting coverage gaps .

4. Supporting the Store Manager, AP Ops Coach, and Asset Protection team.

5. Ensuring you have all the milestone materials and are prepared for the recognition of associates, including retrieving awards from the People Lead, confirming the time and date of huddles with the Store Manager, and being prepared to make statements about the associate’s contributions.

6. Presenting all milestone awards, attending team huddles, taking photos with associates, and ensuring that milestone anniversary pictures are posted to the store’s Facebook page with a personal message.

A Coach holds a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. They are responsible for managing a team or group of teams, ensuring that they meet business objectives, creating schedules, and overseeing the completion of tasks.
