Assist Head Brewer and maintain Cellar floor, including but not limited to
- Prepare materials for large batch brewing (mill grain, organize hops, tools, etc)
- Operate Pallet Jacks/Forlift as needed to lift and transport materials
- Operate Brewhouse before, during, and after brewing
- Clean/maintain Brewhouse (kettle and mashtun, capacity of 40 barrels) with appropriate chemical
- Clean/maintain fermenting tanks of various sizes (10, 20, 30, and 60 barrel fermentors) as needed with appropriate chemical
- Transfer liquid as needed between vessels using corresponding equipment and C02 distribution
- Clean/maintain tools and parts on a daily basis
- Take readings/measurements on fermenting wort (PH, temperature, Zahm, etc)
- Carbonate beer as needed, continuously taking measurements
- Use C02 to clean/pressurize tanks when necessary
- Operate control panel to adjust tank temperatures
- Assisted with packaging operations, ensuring that finished products met both visual and functional quality standards before shipping to distributors or customers directly.
Purchase inventory specifically for Craft Beer section of the store, including but not limited to
- Contacting/speaking with sales representatives from various breweries or distribution companies in regards to prices and products, sales, etc
- Place orders with a pre-determined budget from the company, making the best use of funds to stock section
- Secure allocated stock of seasonal/special releases
- Advertise and promote seasonal/special releases throughout the store using flyers made with computer software and speaking to customers directly during their visit
- Maintain clean appearance of section at all times
- Organize inventory at all times, maintaining a reasonable logic for customers to follow
- Place orders using Excel documents based on moving inventory
Cashier
- Check customers out as needed
- Utilize company reward program pertaining to each customer
- Bag/box items for customers, carry items to vehicle if needed
- Answer phones and questions
- Prepare online orders as they come through the system
- Maintain a clean and clear work space at the register
Manage all operations of the business, including but not limited to
- Hire, Fire, and direct staff as necessary, schedule weekly shifts
