Letters Of Recommendation

  • Katherine Hill RN, BSN, CWOCN, Please let me introduce myself. My name is Kate Hill. I am the Clinical Nurse Lead of the Northern Light Mercy Hospital Wound and Hyperbaric Center. I have been employed at Mercy Hospital for the last 23 years as an RN, the last 16 years in the Wound Center since its inception. I have seen many managers and supervisors come and go in my nursing career with very few truly dependable. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Brea over the last five years. Brea effortlessly supervises the day-to-day needs of the Wound Center. She is a problem solver and utilizes her resources. She is truly dedicated to her role.
  • Peter Carter, MD, FACS, CWSP, I have worked with Brea for over 5 years in the Wound Clinic. During that time the Diabetes Clinic was operating out of the Wound clinic space, and Brea closely worked with many of the staff and providers from that clinic during that time. I have been impressed with her ability to navigate all the complexities of managing 10-15 nurses and health care providers. Not only can she juggle numerous issues at once but has talent and skills to manage and resolve conflicts that undoubtedly arise. She has been always approachable and available. She has the respect and trust of all of us who work with her.
  • Kate Gosselin, RDN, CDCES, Brea has been a gem in a time of significant workflow disruption and change for the endocrinology clinic. She was instrumental in the very smooth transition of the endocrinology office moving over to first gastro/wound and then transitioning to the medical office building. As her responsibilities grew as the previous manager was retiring, we came to build a wonderful trust in Mercy management as she was there to support and listen to our concerns and needs with an open and constructive ear. There have been challenges moving into a new space as would be expected with any clinic taking this major move. I have felt more attention and support from Brea for everyone’s concerns more so than I have ever experienced in my 2 years of working with Mercy. She responds quickly with diplomatic, pragmatic thoughts. I have had several conversations with her about growing the clinic's reach and she has been open and supportive to my ideas, and I feel blessed and motivated to continue my efforts to supporting my wonderful patients under her guidance.
