As an experienced pharmacy technician I'm looking to continue advancing my career through helping formulate effective and efficient standardized workflow procedures and model development in a team oriented setting. The medication reconciliation position is responsible for interacting with patients in order to acquire a list of up to date and previous medications. These medications are then verified through Dr First and passed off to doctors who then submit orders for their inpatient stays.
As an inpatient pharmacy technician at Riverside Methodist Hospital I have engaged in complex and challenging workflows which require critical thought, dedication, and time management to complete. My areas of expertise range throughout the pharmacy's various work spaces such as IV compounding, narcotic medication stock management, automated medication dispensing, and medication delivery in both independent and team based work flow structures. Furthermore with my experience and proficiency at Riverside I have been given oversight responsibilities such as competency oversight and new associate training.
While working as an outpatient pharmacy technician for CVS I was able to engage in workflows related to insurance claim processing, medication dispensing, customer interaction, and communication skills in a team oriented healthcare work space.
As a receptionist I developed professional phone etiquette and techniques related to customer service, scheduling of appointments, computer skills, and gained insight into the work flows of a healthcare oriented work space.
Helped customers navigate and use our photograph development terminals. While maintaining this position I was given the opportunity to develop organizational, customer service, and technical skills.
