I work as a sales associate, stocking, and a cashier. They usually want me around to do anything to help the store look clean from the inside and outside for the customers. But I need to stop what I’m doing and engage with the customer and or demo our product for them to try out. To ask open questions and uncover with the customers so that we may do a better job to help them. To grow conversion and make sales for the store.

I would usually greet in front of the store and hand out bags to the customers hoping that will interest the customer to look around the store. When it was slow, we were expected to fold the clothes and make the tables look nice and organized by sizes. Answer phone calls and hold a product if it was in stocked for the customers.

Offered the customers assistance if they had any questions or concerns, and break away from them and go to other customers to make sure they were doing alright. Made sure to keep the line moving and sign any of the customers to the loyalty card program. Helped pack any online orders and put the correct tags for shipping. And made sure to keep the store clean and presentable for the customers when they first walk inside the store.

I started off as a courtesy clerk and when I turned 18 they offered me a job a cashier. I would greet and scan the customers items, and give them their change if they are using money. And apply coupons on their purchase if they are a loyalty member in the points program. When there are no customers I would clean my space at them mean time and stock up the shelves and or help out put go backs away.
