My duties, is to bill out Medicaid claims to different INS, follow up on claims for payments, work on denials of the claims, I would also do secondary billing, would bill Medicaid if the Patient had a commerical medical ins as primary. I also do all incoming deposits and enter it into an excel spreadsheet, as well as get the deposit ready to take to the bank. I do answer phones and register patients, I also go over statements with patients if they have questions on why they received a bill. I also would need to look up Patient's Insurance benefits. I started this Medical position at the hospital in 2013, prior to 2013 in 2009 I started as a ER Tech, I would bring patients back from waiting room and get weight and patient information, and vitals.
