The Dark Lady

As a volunteer working to support the large pride weekend event during the month of June at The Dark Lady, an LGBTQ+ bar and nightclub, I had the responsibilities of organizing and setting up the location for the event to take place, effectively communicating with other to keep things running smoothly, and to assist with and watch over customers who came to the event.
After assisting with setting up for the event, I was given the job of helping direct the entrances by checking IDs at the door, providing entry bands to customers, and generally assisting guests with directions and questions about the event.
- Assisted with special events and programs.
- Maintained clean, neat, and operational facilities to serve the event's needs.
- Supported engaging, fun, and smooth-running events by helping with organization and planning.
- Used strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information to others.
- Represented organization positively and professionally while providing community with much-needed services.
