The project consisted of a complex set of treatment systems and processes to purify seawater using RO (Reverse Osmosis) at the treatment plant and also construct a 10-mile 54" diameter freshwater conveyance pipeline once the seawater was purified into potable drinking water for distribution to nearly 1 Million households in San Diego County. - Managed plant welding operations by providing certified welding inspection (CWI) supervision and administration of welding operations on high pressure SMO Grade - stainless steel pipe.
- Provided overall project QA (Quality Assurance) for both plant and pipeline projects by working with 30+ technical special inspectors, contractors project managers, design engineers & architects, San Diego County Water Authority project managers/directors, & Poseidon Water's management team.
- Assisted the senior project manager with running job coordination meetings, providing schedule analysis, and overseeing monthly progress payments, all field engineering coordination and construction oversight.
- Worked through commissioning the plant into full operation during plant construction and provided administration of special inspections during the plant warranty shutdown one year after project completion.
