  • Planning: I Plan overall allocation of personnel and resources for the organization
  • Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by the Superintendent
  • Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors
  • Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects
  • Determine skills, materials, and equipment required to do the work
  • Redirect individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work
  • Inform the Superintendent of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources
  • Participate in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work
  • Review funding requirements, prioritizes request and allocate funding based on readiness, training, and mobilization requirements
  • Provide management with workload data, estimates, and recommendations to facilitate more effective management decisions for staffing and funding requirements to support customer units

  • While serving as the MATES Safety Officer in conjunction with my Supervisory duties from April 2010 - present, I develop, publish, and ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised
