Provided direct and individualized care to patient's with life threatening conditions/diseases such as gastrointestinal diseases, heart failure, diabetes, ESRD, and other acute diagnoses while on Telemetry unit. Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Report adverse reactions to medictaions or treatments in accordance with the facility's policy regarding the administration of medications. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients. Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify MD and Cardiologist. Inititae corrective action whenever patient shows symptamology after reviewing any irregularities while on telemonitoring. Recognize signs and symptoms of cardiopulmonary and respiratory emergencies and start standard interventions to stabilize patient. Provide basic, bedside care. Inititate patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation. Records patients medical information and vitals. Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol. Record all care information concisely and accurately in a timely manner. Perform other position-related duties as assiggned, depending on assignmnent setting.

Provide care to individuals with mental disabilities at the Elizabeth Ludeman Center. Monitoring and preventing spread of COVID-19 Virus during a pandemic. Educating some individuals that are able to comprehend and staff on infection control, proper PPE use and decreasing spread of infection. Monitoring signs and symptoms.
