As skilled professionals, DSPs support people with disabilities to participate in their communities, including through employment. For example, they may serve as job development staff to assist in finding and/or customizing jobs or as job coaches who provide direct employee assistance on the job. Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies: An Anesthesia Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining anesthesia machines, monitors, and other equipment in the operating room. They ensure that all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated, and sterile before each surgery.

Assist in the administration of anesthesia: During surgical procedures, an Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesiologist in administering anesthesia to patients. They help in preparing and delivering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient safety during the procedure.

Monitor patient vital signs: An Anesthesia Technician closely monitors the patient's vital signs during surgery, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and temperature. They communicate any changes or abnormalities to the medical team and make adjustments as necessary.

Provide emergency support: In the event of an anesthesia-related emergency, such as an adverse reaction or complication, the Anesthesia Technician must be prepared to assist the medical team. They are trained to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, providing necessary support and equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and sterilization: An Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment in the operating room. This includes properly cleaning and sterilizing equipment and supplies, as well as adhering to infection control protocols.

Document and maintain records: Accurate documentation is essential in the healthcare field. An Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining records of anesthesia equipment, medications used, vital sign measurements, and any other relevant information related to patient care.

Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized

Assist patient with everyday needs (personal hygiene, using the restroom, grooming etc.)

Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse etc.) or EKG signals and patient condition

Take fluid samples or other specimens for testing

Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments

Perform basic nursing procedures (e.g. changing bandages)

Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies

Assist patients with particular issues or needs

Provide appropriate emotional support

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as patient care technician

Trained in phlebotomy, vital signs measurement and dialysis treatment

Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures

Working knowledge of relevant equipment (catheters, needles atc.)

Committed to health and safety standards

Empathetic and approachable

Successful completion of PCT training program with certification is required

CPR certified

• Supervise cashiers and ensure that customer service is of the highest standard
• Train and mentor cashiers on customer service and cash handling procedures
• Monitor cash registers and ensure accuracy of transactions
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing friendly and efficient service and resolve any issues that may arise
• Assist in the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing duties
• Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves
