• Identify potential barriers that could occur at patient discharge including, but not limited to, access to medication at discharge, medication adherence prior to admission, anticipated discharge disposition, etc
• Communicate barriers with inpatient care team, and address solutions with patient
• Data entry (prescription entry) for discharge medications
• Patient medication history
• Delivery of bedside medications at discharge

• Point of care testing on patients (checking A1C, blood glucose, cholesterol) and administering immunizations
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality to adhere to HIPAA regulations and avoid data compromises
• Work with insurance companies to process claims, resolve problems and obtain payments
• Maintain clean and organized pharmacy shelving and work areas
• Manage inventories, rotate stock, remove expired or damaged drug products and resolved discrepancies in drug counts
• Establish and update patient profiles, medications and insurance details
• Assist pharmacist with clearing high volumes of prescriptions and responded to customer questions
• Receive written prescription or refill requests, verifying information for completeness and accuracy
• Operate cash register to accept payments from customers
• Assist customers by answering questions, locating items or referring to pharmacist for medication information
• Prescription data entry

Maintain all of the same duties as a CPhT, as well as maintaining a higher level of responsibility such as:

• Overseeing the workflow of the pharmacy
• Prioritizing/delegating tasks to fellow technicians

• Processed damaged and/or returned merchandise for the store
• Maintained the hazardous waste area to ensure compliance & safety
• Received and signed for shipments to the story

• Helped customers find specific products, answered questions and offered product advice
• Answered incoming phone calls to the store
• Worked with fellow sales team members to achieve group targets
• Arranged new merchandise with signage and appealing displays to encourage customer sales and move overstock items
• Trained new team members in cash register operation, stock procedures and customer services
• Stocked shelves with new merchandise and checked for outdated or damaged items
