I currently serve as an advanced maintenance technician (AMT) in the communication/Meteorological work center.
Maintaining Air Traffic Control communication systems including the (AN/FSC-127) Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch, (AN/FSC-127A) Emergency Voice Switch System, (AN/FYC-22C) Visual Information Display system, (AN/FFC-1) Fiber Optic Communication Intersite System, (DALR) the Digital Audio Legal Recorder, (AFLCS)Airfield Lighting Control System, and CM-300, CM-200, CM-350 VHF/UHF radio transmitter and receiver. I also have experience maintaining Meteorological systems such as the Automated Surface Observing System(ASOS), Acquisition Control Unit(ACU), and the (OID). This consists of calibrating, tuning, performing, and documenting both preventative and corrective maintenance on these systems for successful Federal Aviation Administration Flight Inspections.
Cross-trained in the NAVAIDS work center, which consists of maintaining (PAPI) the Procession Approach Path Indicator, and the (ILS) the Instrument Landing System in accordance with OPNAV instructions for support of military operations and the (NAS) National Airspace System.
Instructing Entry Level Technicians and performing on the job training on the aforementioned Communications/meteorological systems.
Serving as the Safety Coordinator for the Air Traffic Control Maintenance Division performing core safety functions and safety training for the division.
