  • Served as IT Team Lead with responsibilities that included: Interfacing with the user community to ensure that services provided meet required standards, holding staff meetings to stay comprised of all IT related operational tasks, meeting with team members individually to discuss any issues related to the team, utilizing feedback on my performance to improve as team lead and managing daily IT operational tasks.
  • Worked closely with the business units on IT projects that provide business value to the sector.
  • Implemented and supported the SOX Portal for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Developed and implemented project plan to migrate the email system from Netware’s GroupWise to Microsoft Exchange.
  • Implemented a document management system from Full Circle Systems called DocVue. This included SQL database management, application back end support, and workflow design for AP invoice and AFE approval. Worked directly with Full Circle Systems developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues with their product.
  • Implemented additional instance of DocVue system to manage the Trade Confirmations documentation.
  • Managed all site data centers, including the main office in Houston, and remote sites in Denver, Colorado, and Sheridan, Wyoming.
  • Implemented a monitoring solution for all data centers that includes monitoring temperature, humidity, power, and moisture. This solution provided immediate notifications to the appropriate personnel when thresholds were exceeded.
  • Assisted in the implementation of a new Linux based accounting system by providing Citrix as the primary method of deployment for the application front end.
  • Worked with vendors to design and install a new UPS system in the Houston office data center, which increased the battery up time from 8 minutes to 55 minutes, and increased power capacity from 15KVa to 30KVa.
  • Supported approximately 50 Windows 2000/2003 Servers including Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, SQL 7.0, SQL 2000, Active Directory domain controllers, application servers, IIS servers, and file/print servers.
  • Provided remote infrastructure support to sites in Denver, Colorado, and Sheridan, Wyoming.
  • Worked with Enterprise Active Directory team, which consisted of Corporate and other sector IT staff, to design and implement an enterprise wide Active Directory. This allowed the integration of all resources between each of the sectors and the corporate office.
  • Migrated the sector from an NT 4.0 domain to a Windows 2000 Active Directory domain and then to a Windows 2003 Active Directory domain. This included design of the Active Directory infrastructure and utilizing NetIQ’s Domain Migration Administrator to assist in the migration of user accounts.
  • Migrated all file and print services from Netware to Windows 2000 Server, and then to Windows Server 2003.
  • Migrated DNS from Unix to Windows 2000 AD integrated DNS, and then to Windows Server 2003 AD integrated DNS.
  • Implemented AD group policies to secure the domain, servers, and workstations.
  • Developeded intelligent login scripts using VBScript.
  • Implemented Windows Sharepoint Services to enable departments to utilize document libraries and surveys.
