  • I worked with Epic Analysts and our internal Corewell Health DS team to pilot a program called the Revenue Cycle Builder Program. This allows me and people on my team to do some of the actual build work within Epic and take some of the workload off the DS Epic Resolute team. This has greatly reduced the number of days that service desk tickets remain open. This pilot program has been such a great success that Epic asked our team to share the details at the Epic XGM conference with other organizations.
  • I have developed and successfully implemented a Claim Edit Strategy work group with all departments in the revenue cycle. I meet regularly with the Billing, Coding, Registration, Compliance and DS Managers to discuss any internal and external edits that they are seeing so we can route them to the correct teams or find the root cause of the edit so we can make changes within Epic to avoid hitting the edits in the future. This has significantly raised our Hospital Billing and Professional Billing clean claim rates prior to OEE.
  • I have developed a team ticket triage process for my System Support team. This process allows our entire team to work together to resolve complex tickets. This has reduced the number of days that Service Now tickets remain open.
  • Over the last few years, I have been the lead contact on numerous projects and issues. This includes the OEE project, the transition from Change Healthcare to Waystar, and the Change Healthcare cyper-attack issue that happened last year.
