Teacher's Assistant (Student Aid), Highland High School
Senior Year: 2023-2024
During my senior year, I worked closely with teachers to prepare classroom materials and organize lesson plans, ensuring lessons ran smoothly and effectively. I provided academic support to students, offering one-on-one and group assistance to help them grasp challenging concepts and complete assignments. As a bilingual resource, I translated instructions and content for Spanish-speaking students, helping them fully engage in their education. Additionally, I played a key role in maintaining an organized and positive classroom environment, mentoring peers and fostering an inclusive space. I also contributed to cultural events, supporting activities that celebrated and highlighted our school’s diversity.
One of my key accomplishments is earning the Seal of Biliteracy, showcasing my fluency in both Spanish and English and allowing me to support fellow Spanish-speaking students. As a Teacher's Assistant in my senior year, I prepared lesson materials, provided academic help, and acted as a translator, making a significant impact in creating an inclusive classroom environment. Additionally, I played a vital role in organizing cultural events at my school, celebrating diversity and promoting awareness. These experiences highlight my leadership, academic dedication, and commitment to uplifting the Hispanic community.
