  • Managed twenty one drug stores with 21 direct reports, over 500 indirectly to Retail Operation Excellence. In less than a year, increased Front End Sales by 12.5% and increased Script Growth by 9%. In the 2nd year, Script Growth increased by 7% This was completed by meeting with all Store managers and strategizing a way to “Care” for our customers.
  • Managed relationship of Walgreens team members in Partners in Primary Care at Walgreens stores. A joint venture of Humana and Walgreens in Kansas City and Anderson, SC. Liaison to corporate on the business requirements and implementation, creating a new operating model for Walgreens working in a partnership. Supported field leadership and team members with onboarding tools and solutions to the team. Collaborated with both Humana and Walgreens teams to maintain operational goals. Created playbook and onboarded new Managers on Special Assignment in Houston, TX.
  • Managed a six-year-old high-income suburban drug store. Store had been increasing in sales 3 to 4%, but after meeting with leadership team, an emphasis was put on in-stock merchandising and building better relationships with vendors. Increased Front End Sales 8.2% (2016) and Pharmacy prescription numbers up 25.4% (2017) 7.5% (2018). Shrink decreased to 1.18% (2017), 1.02% (2018), and a District low of 0.94% (2019).
  • Taught PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) classes three times per year for AREA 95 Walgreens Stores (Encompasses 82 stores). 2016-2019. Pass Rate was 67%, National Average is 58%.
  • Managed a three-year-old low-income suburban drug store with sales of $6,000,000. Store was underperforming in both Store Customer Satisfaction and Pharmacy Customer Satisfaction. Put a training program in place and worked with pharmacy manager to increase these scores. Doing this, increased Customer Service Score by 12% and increased Pharmacy Score 14%. This also influenced team engagement, profit, and sales of the store. Increased Gallup Team Engagement from 3.31 to 4.19 (out of perfect score of 5) increased Front End Sales 3.9% and increased Profit 10-fold from previous year.
  • Managed an urban store with a downward trend on sales on profit. Worked with members of management and replaced pharmacy manager. Over the course of 20 months, promoted three team members to a leadership position. With a new staff in place, increased store profit 296% (2011), increased store profit 37% (2012), slashed shrink by 0.4% (2012), and increased off-site Flu Shot Clinics from 1 to 8 in 2012.
  • Walgreens purchased USA Drug Stores in 2012. Trained both technicians and front-end employees. This consisted of upskilling Walgreen’s employees to prepare for higher volume in fall of 2012. In the spring of 2013, I spent training the front-end management teams in three stores in Pine Bluff, AR. In two of these stores, there were previously no Walgreens team members. After over four years, the store managers and pharmacy managers are still in their positions and growing in sales.
