- I was the founding president of The County Line Sod-Buster antique tractor club established in 1996. I lead the organization for 13 years.
- I was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years.
- I am currently an Elder and the Treasurer at Bible Grove Christian Church in northern Clay County.
- I was the Republican county chairman for one term starting in 2019 & lead the revitalization of a mostly dormant organization.
- In 2012 I researched & implemented the purchase of propane school buses for North Clay.
- I helped develop an ELDT program for ROE 12 schools. This program has been distributed throughout Illinois.
- Along with one of my drivers, who became my routing assistant, we selected & implemented routing software two years ago.
- I am currently a township trustee for Bible Grove Township.
