Accomplishments
During my tenure at Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center I was able to secure many high values positions within the department. I was selected for one of the five positions for STIU(Security Threat Intelligence Unit). Where we monitoring not just the incarcerated population but also the staff that could pose a threat to the facility. This position also gave me the opportunity to work with multiple different agencies like ATF, Homeland Security, BCSO, APD and the FBI.
I continued to advance in my career and was again selected to join the Transport Unit where we would transport the incarcerated to and from court,appointments,hospitals and prison. With this position came firearm certification with the Department Of Public Safety. I remained in both of these units until I left the department in 2021.
