I volunteered at Americare Technical School where my mom worked at. I helped staff clean up one of their rooms and organized unneeded items into boxes or large plastic bags. I used communication to inform staff members when I would be done or needed help with something. I found organizing items and cleaning quite fun to do. I also helped a little bit with checking off a list and typing what they wanted me to type since I type fast.
At Indian Trail High School and Academy, I involved myself in a club called environmental club. On one day, the club planned to go and remove invasive plants laying on the school campus. Anyone could volunteer to help in which I was one of them. I aided in cutting spiky invasive plants in which I then put it into one of the trash bags. Using teamwork, me and my group dealt with the plants efficiently by communicating when someone would need help.
I love doing arts and crafts. Arts and Crafts projects take a very long time to make and requires focus and hard work. However, I find it a very fun hobby throughout the process and it's worth it because I become proud and confident after the finishing touch. Additionally, I also love to draw. Developing art skills is tough since you have to learn many different techniques. Just like arts and crafts, drawing requires hard work in order to become better at it. I have made a majority of arts and crafts pieces and the one I'm most proud of is a paper project of a dandelion that required me to do more than 50 3D shapes and took about 3 weeks for me to do.
