As the Integrated Supplier Team Chief for FLBA (Flexible Hoses) I plan, manage, and direct day-to-day operations of an Integrated Supplier Team (IST). I direct the work of a multi-functional team through three subordinate supervisors who supervised sections composed of functional specialists across three disciplines Material Planning, Contracting, and Technical and Quality. I ensure FLBA provides acquisition and logistical support to our customers by developing and implementing innovative supply support solutions that increase the efficiency of our actions. FLBA’s consistent approach provides operational control and support to the Directorate, Land and Maritime, and the Defense Logistics Agency goals, mission, and strategic plan. I direct the performance of a full range of IST mission functions, which are an integral part of the overall supply chain logistics support mission to provide material and services to the military customer.

  • I supervise and coordinate numerous technical and administrative matters for the division. As the Division supply SME I am responsible for different projects which include developing/conducting training, briefings, and development of new work products as well as consulting/advising supervisors, technical staff and senior management within DLA.
  • I implemented the division's inaugural Material Planner training team. This team is responsible for training the division's new Material planners. I ensure the training supervisor provides essential instruction to the associates in an effective manner. I utilize different effective implementation and evaluation strategies to ensure the success of the program.
  • I interview candidates for positions in the IST; make decisions and initiate recommendations as to selection, promotion, transfer, details, commendations, awards, training, and discipline of key subordinates/supervisory personnel. I provide position reports, for policy direction and performance appraisal, directly to the Division Chief of FLB Supplier Operations.
  • As the IST Chief for FLBA I ensure a continuing affirmative application of DLA policies concerning equal opportunity. I ensure that personnel management within the organizational entity under supervision is accomplished without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.

  • I managed the Army/Marine Operating Forces Branch in Land Customer Operations Directorate. I supported hundreds of DODAACs (Department of Defense Activity Address Code) throughout United States.
  • I represented the Division as a customer advocate and a liaison with DLA personnel in solving or coordinating the resolution of customer order/support problems and developing customer service improvements. I coordinated or represented DLA on many high visibility customer-initiated projects such as Army Pre-positioned Ships, FORSCOM, ASP (Army Sustainment Plan) and MARCO/LOGCOM. I was involved in numerous projects, discussions, and interactions with Senior Level officials from military branches and other federal agencies. I served as a primary contact point for specific customer activities to interact with customers and coordinate with internal DLA teams concerning the processing of orders, resolving customer and order related issues, providing customers with general information regarding DLA products and services, resolving customer complaints, expediting emergency orders, and maintaining customer data.
  • I implemented strategies to monitor and evaluate processes to ensure the customer needs and goals were being achieved. Monitored the order fulfillment process from the branch level. Provided recommendations to the acquisition and order fulfillment processes.
  • I developed short- and long-term plans, goals, and objectives for the training development of the Supervisors and Leads within the Division.
  • I established a weekly leadership discussion to help develop supervisor’s leadership skillsets.

  • Managed a technical challenging FSC (Flexible Hoses) 64K NIINs, that included Edgewood Chemical Biological Center. I helped the branch reduce the average procurement time of these difficult to procure items by 30 percent.
  • As the Integrated Supplier Team Chief for FMDC (Flexible Hoses) I planned, managed, and directed day-to-day operations of an Integrated Supplier Team (IST). I directed the work of a multi-functional team through three subordinate supervisors who supervised sections composed of functional specialists across three disciplines Material Planning, Contracting, and Technical and Quality. I ensured FMDC provided acquisition and logistical support to our customers by developing and implementing innovative supply support solutions that increased the efficiency of our actions.
