William & Mary Law School's Faculty and Academic Support Center (FASC) - Promoted from Administrative Assistant to Director within in a 10 year period.

Major Service

  • Participated on various College of William and Mary and William & Mary Law School Hiring Search Committees two of which led to the historical hiring of the first African Americans to hold William and Mary Law School positions as the Law School Dean and the Associate Dean for Student and Academic Services and Chief Equity Officer.
  • Simultaneously, oversaw two departments (FASC & Journal Suite), staffing totaling nine administrative assistants.
  • Secured the approval to promote one of the Journal Suite administrative assistants to an entry-level supervisory position. Mentored individual via supervisory training while providing verbal and written communication and feedback throughout the first year. Provided individual resources to utilize as references. Overall assessment led to the individual managing the Journal Suite and the four administrative assistants within the department independently.
  • During the American Bar Association's (ABA) Law School Accreditation Process of William & Mary Law School, I provided administrative support to Law School Senior Administrators. As well, functioned as liaison between senior administrators and the ABA Committee members throughout the completion process. ABA approval granted.
