Summary

Coming from a Korean-American immigrant family, I was raised with the values of resilience, honor, and service to humankind. Witnessing my parents' hard work day and night to give us a better life, I acquired a deep sense of responsibility—not just to my family, but also to my people and country. I've attempted leadership roles within school, sports, music, and clubs throughout the years, not for self-glory, but rather because I believe that one should contribute where one is able to make a difference. These experiences have honed my character, discipline, and commitment to something greater than myself. I am drawn to West Point because I want to serve with a sense of purpose, learn through challenge, and lead with honor in defense of the values for which I was raised.
