Night to Shine is a prom for people with special needs and disabilities. There are many ways to participate and I have in a couple of different ways. I have done red carpet, which is essentially cheering the "Kings and Queens" (our guests with special needs and disabilities) on and welcoming them to the event. I have served food as a waiter and was the companion of a Queen this last year and went through the night with her.

I have been volunteering at Hope Park through my church since 2016. Hope Park is an event in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where you feed the homeless and underprivileged population in the area. While doing this, you also forge connections with the people who come to be fed, and other opportunities arise to be of service. During my junior year of high school, I did a project where I made little "goodie" bags for the people who came. These bags included basic things like toothbrushes and toothpaste, floss, deodorant, bandages, hairbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.

I prepped meals for underprivileged families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I volunteered with the National History Club and helped decorate the Drennen-Scott House for their annual Victorian Christmas party. This included making lanterns and setting them up around the premises.

I volunteered with the National History Club at the Van Buren Ice Skating Rink. I did various tasks such as cleaning skates, taking money, giving wristbands, and watching the rink to make sure everyone was safe.

I volunteered with the National History Club and ran a carnival game for elementary aged kids.

Packed food boxes for the Van Buren, Alma, and Kibler communities.

I helped run games and make snacks for fifth graders.
