Ray Wiegand's Nursery — Machine Loader, Summer 2023–Present

- Assist customers with carrying heavy or bulky items such as plants, soil bags, pots, and gardening tools to their vehicles.

- Ensure proper handling of plants and flowers to prevent damage.

- Provide information and answer basic customer questions regarding plant care and products, or direct customers to more knowledgeable staff as needed.

-Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the nursery, including watering plants, restocking shelves, and sweeping walkways.

- Assist with unloading trucks and restocking inventory.

- Set up and rearrange plant displays to keep the nursery visually appealing and easily accessible.

-Support the nursery team with daily tasks, including moving plants, assembling orders, and preparing items for customer pickup.
Operate heavy machinery (skid steers, tractors, hi-los, and front-end loaders) for material handling, site prep, and equipment and plant transport in a safe and efficient manner.

- Oversee large plant delivery orders by preparing them the day before they go out, moving specific orders to designated areas so they can be quickly picked up by our landscape delivery company the next morning — a crucial part of our business.

• - Maintained park grounds and facilities, including mowing, planting, and trimming.
• - Assisted with setup and cleanup of events such as concerts and festivals.
• - Demonstrated strong work ethic and attention to detail in completing tasks efficiently.

• - Served food and beverages at baseball games and stadium events.
• - Managed cash transactions, operated registers, and reconciled sales at the end of shifts.
