I've spent four years working at McCormick Place in a variety of roles, from safety inspections to recording damage during transport and event setup. Accurate notes are very important because transportation costs are high. Since events draw people from all over the world, clear communication is necessary. I also conduct food inspections at Pilsen's food warehouse. 3 Months- Service CVS vending machines, KeyMe kiosks, and Kestra Medical inventory storage units in the Chicagoland area by cleaning, restocking, and replacing parts.
• Monitor inbound and outbound inventory. Label with RFIDs and associate with the correct bin. Re-associate for returns.
• Collaborate with remote technical support to troubleshoot problems.
• Identify potential problems and prevent equipment failure. Conduct regular equipment inspections.
• For every call, make a detailed report including times, what was fixed, and whether new parts are needed to complete the job.
Safety Inspector/ Food Inspector
2 Years- Inspect damage or loss of property at McCormick Place convention center during events.
- Conduct pre- and post-walkthrough of the building with GES and McCormick Place Management. Identify when damage occurred or whether it was present before the event. Send report to appropriate parties.
- Document damage using pictures, statements from those who own or are responsible for equipment or materials
- Food Inspection at warehouse freezers. Record the condition of pallets and boxes. Also inspect packages for odors, leaks, and temperature.
Temp Worker - Mccormick Place
4 Years 2 Months- Greeted visitors warmly, offering information about the event and directions to enhance their experience.
