Additional Information

Being a leader is not just about being knowledgeable, but also about being compassionate and vulnerable. To understand how a specific work environment or community works, it is important to listen and be open to different opinions. Since I moved to Orlando in 2017, I started looking for ways to get involved in the community. I started walking to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and I am currently a member of the Puerto rico Chapter Executive Board where we are working on different projects to assist the hispanic and puertorrican community in Orlando and the island.

I would like to add that I am a music lover and strongly believe that through music and arts, we can contribute to our community's mental health. Since college I've been coaching singers to prepare for presentations and examns. After graduating, I started teaching voice lessons at an academy for 6 months. I had my own band Candy Mer y Oceanos participating in the indie music scene and recording 3 singles. Last February, I released my 3rd single on Spotify with Candy Mer y Oceanos band. In 2019 I was part of Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda where I danced with the school in events such as Orlando Fusion Fest.
