As a volunteer, I have experience with fundamental tasks such as community outreach, answering and making phone calls, communal work and experience professional settings. I have learned how to communicate and interact with people with different backgrounds and beliefs than me, and work together with them to solve problems. I have a lot experience working with little kids, doing things such as teaching lessons, facilitating crafts and activities in a safe and enjoyable manner, and interacting with the parents of children in a number of positive and negative situations.

The business at hand was a summer camp. The summer camp was designed during the summer of 2020, and it was intended to relieve working parents of their children for a few hours 2-3 times a week. The camp was called "Saint Lo Summer Camp" after the street we lived on, and it made up to 1200 dollars in revenue. We employed multiple neighborhood kids, firing and hiring them as a normal business does. We sent out media promoting our, bought supplies, negotiated payment with our employees, bought supplies, and had a grand finale of a carnival, all games and prizes hand made to celebrate our success. At our height, we had about 15-20 children in our chare at one time. We only did it for two months because after that child care opened back up the need for us was gone, but when we were in business we were a great success.
As a freshman at Penn State Main Campus, one of my favorite things to do is to watch football. I love cheering on my team and going to the games with my friends because it makes me feel like I am apart of something. As a military brat, sometimes I feel a bit disconnected from everyone else because I don't have a community that I've grown up with throughout my life. I have lived in several different states, and while that offers a world of different experiences, lessons, passions, and morals, sometimes it's lonely. With Penn State I can be apart of a team and have a community that is my own. As for reading, I love to read on the current political, economic, and environmental state of the world, as I think it is important to be involved and aware of the state of one's country because that is the state of your future. Finally, I love being in the outdoors. Hiking, rock climbing, camping, really anything that involves little cell service and fresh air is very appealing to me, as it is a good method for me to de-stress and reminds me what I work for: a happy, healthy, world.
