As a Cap 2 supervisor i was in charge of unloading General merchandise trucks and unloading Grocery trucks, and FDD (frozen,dairy,deli) in a timely manner. After we are done with general merchandise i delegate tasks to my associates some of the tasks are, Stocking freight/zoning, Sorting on touch, Downstacking dairy, unloading meat/produce trucks, viz picking. everyday is different some days we will be focused on certain areas those certain areas are usually products that are out stock. Towards the end of the night at 8 we start pulling out all freight to the sales floor so that the overnight team can stock. During this time i am walking with any closing managers to spot out any mistakes on the sales floor. Once its time to clock out i make sure both grocery and GM backrooms are clean for the next day and making sure the departments we stocked are stocked correctly and zoned correctly.
As a carcass pusher o Coordinated carcass movement to ensure efficient transfer from freezers for processing by other department workers; I was also trained to operate the chain line to prevent jams and minimize carcass fallout on floor.
