After serving six years at the Beeville ISD Police Department as a school security specialist, I strive to become the next Beeville ISD Police Department's, Captain. I've assisted the department grow from the very beginning when this department was established in 2018. The department started as a three-man department with only Chief Gamez, myself and another officer with no uniforms, equipment or vehicles. Since 2018 we currently have Chief, six Texas Peace Officers, two Safety Officer and an Administrative Assistant. Every officer is uniformed, equipped and supplied a take home Beeville ISD PD unit. I am proud to say I have assisted with where the department is today and have bigger goals for this department that is known throughout the state of Texas. Due to the department not having a current Captain, I have confidently stepped up to assist and help reduce some responsibilities from Chief Gamez, while currently working in investigations. I have also currently completed the EMT-Basic course, which I plan next to take the National Registry test to be a licensed EMT-Basic. With that license I plan to use in my every day operations if needed and help grow our combined expertise within the department. I am an excellent candidate for the Captain's position because throughout my years of service within this department I have been assigned to every Beeville ISD campus. I have a great rapport and working relationship to each campus administration. I have also learned how to adapt and work along side with the staff, depending on what campus I am at. I understand how to listen, be receptive and open-minded to suggestions of the officers that would improve them individually and for our department as a team.
