Science & Technology Boosters-This position was a 2 year, volunteer position. The Science&Technology Boosters was created at my children's Elementary school. As Secretary my duties were: to take minutes at meetings and handled all correspondence and sends notices of meetings - Keeps a copy of the minutes, bylaws, rules, membership list.

Chair for the ARTS: I was recruited by the Principal Arlene Lelak to bring back the Arts and Fame curriculum to Proctor Elementary. This is a volunteer program that brings Artistic Perception, Creative Expression, Historical and Cultural Context and Aesthetic Valuing. This is achieved by presenting FAME curriculum in 6 Lessons every year through 5th grade. It required a well coordinated effort of teachers and volunteer docents (parent volunteers). There was behind the scenes coordination of supplies, materials and musical instruments. This job required creating a budget, fundraising for funding, and reaching out to the community for help.

Board Member of the Hayward Arts Council. Working to promote the Arts in the City of Hayward and surrounding communities. Specific venues I chaired are: Open Studios which brings the community awareness of artists in their studios. Phantom Galleries which opened up vacant properties in Downtown Hayward to artists and their work. This was successfully accomplished by working with the City of Hayward, landlords, artists & media outlets.
