My experience is varied, to say the least. I have worked for the last two years as a remote call center customer service agent. I enjoy the work very much, but the company has changed ownership, and I'm looking to expand my horizons. I was born in Las Vegas and lived in Nevada all my life until I moved to South Dakota in 2010 with my husband. Over the next 10 years, I dispatched oil and gas trucks. Prior to that, I was employed by several departments in Nye County, and my last 10 years there were spent as a 911 dispatcher. I was widowed in May 2021, and returned to Nevada to be with my family.
Managed enrollment of customers in electricity and natural gas plans across deregulated markets. Guided clients in selecting the most advantageous rates for energy services.
Engaged with customers to provide personalized support and solutions. Adapted quickly to changing policies and procedures while maintaining service consistency. Navigated through computer systems to review information and respond appropriately to callers.
Assisted children and parents in safely navigating roadways during school hours. Monitored pedestrian traffic to ensure safe crossing at busy intersections.
This job consisted of dispatching gasoline delivery trucks to various locations across South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. I monitored inventory levels for 60+ gas stations and scheduled deliveries accordingly. I was also the on-call point of contact for 15 or more drivers. Extensive use of Microsoft office products.
I worked in several different departments within Nye County, Nevada, from November 1987 until
November of 2010. From November 1987 through 2009, I worked in the Recorder's Office, the Auditor's Office and the Public Works Department, all of which encompassed various office and clerical-type tasks.
After that, I transferred to the Sheriff's Office, where I worked as a 911 dispatcher, answering 911 and non-emergency calls, and dispatching police, fire, and ambulance units. I am proficient in the CAD system and was previously EMD-certified by APCO.
