My name is Carter Christensen, and I am an enthusiastic educator dedicated to fostering positive and impactful learning environments for students of diverse needs and abilities. After completing my Education degree from the College of Southern Idaho (CSI), I am now nearing completion of my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Idaho State University (ISU), with only one semester remaining before student teaching. My passion for teaching was ignited through my role at the Boys and Girls Club, where I've spent the past year developing engaging programs and activities that support youth growth and development. Additionally, I've gained nearly a year of valuable experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional, equipping me with essential skills in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), accommodating diverse disabilities, and successfully building relationships with students who exhibit challenging behaviors. I am committed to leveraging these experiences to create inclusive classrooms where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
I had waited a long time to get promoted at the Boys and Girls Club and new once it happened I was going to do my best to make it a safe and fun place for kids to come. I worked extremely hard over the summer and school year to implement many programs and activities that aligned with my vision of what the club could be. I was recognized for my efforts for making the club my own and making amazing relationships with kids, staff, and parents.
