Casey St. Clair

In November, 2023, I was chosen to be one of 7 Cabin Leaders for Outdoor School for fifth and sixth graders in San Mateo County. I was responsible for the safety and well-being of cabin group of 5th graders from Upper Laurel School in Menlo Park, CA. My volunteer responsibilities included:

• Assisting naturalists on the trail
• Supervising shower and mealtime
• Facilitating a cabin skit
• Ensuring the well being of students while away from their homes

Worked the cash register and prepared food at a busy snack shack at the Mitchell Park little league baseball field. Worked evenings and occasional weekends. My responsibilities included:

• Providing friendly customer service
• Recommending specials
• Describing menu items
• Grilling and preparing food
• Washing dishes
• Maintaining a clean kitchen
• Sweeping and mopping at closing
• Taking out trash

Starting my own DJ business to provide music for events during the Spring and Summer between 5th and 6th grade is one of my proudest achievements. Using the money I earned from house and pet sitting, I purchased my own DJ equipment. I still have all the equipment and I enjoy lending it to my friends and family.
