I proudly serve the patients, families, nursing staff, and leadership on a busy 24-bed intermediate-level unit by:

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare specialists to devise, implement, and modify plans of care.
• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to resuscitation, ACLS protocols, and directives.
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise nurses and nursing staff based on staffing requirements.
• Act as a guiding and supportive role for nursing staff to provide quality, safe, and effective healthcare to a diverse patient population.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships between nursing departments and other disciplines.

I proudly serve a busy 24-bed PCCU, as well as act as a mentor and preceptor to those on and new to the unit.

• Having experience in both day and night shifts, with the ability to empathize with the challenges each shift faces.
• Managing up to five patients with post-interventional cardiac procedures, including femoral sheath/TR band removal, and cardiac drips.
• Acting as a patient advocate and implementing total patient care through teamwork and the nursing process.
• Precepting multiple experienced and new RNs on best practices, hospital policies, and standards of care.
• Helping new nurses achieve program goals, increase independence, and develop confidence in clinical skills.

• Create spreadsheets and minutes for record-keeping and reporting.

I served as a PCT and Unit Secretary in a busy PCCU while obtaining my nursing degree by:

• Obtaining patient vital signs and identifying and reporting changes from prior measurements to nursing staff.
• Performing a variety of patient care services to support nursing functions and activities of daily living.
• Providing effective and safe care while bridging the gap between patient and nurse.
