As an advanced endoscopy technician, my primary role was to assist the physician in performing endoscopic procedures performed on high acuity patients which may include but not limited to Grade III complex ERCP procedures, Cholangioscopy, complex endomucosal resection, Sphincter of Oddi manometry, pancreatic endotherapy (stenting), Ultrasound-guided interventions, lithotripsy using lasers, Peroral endoscopic myotomy procedures, double balloon enteroscopy, endosuturing, cystgastroscopy, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), and endoscopic Vac therapy.

Additional responsibilities included appropriately selecting and operating the equipment and accessories for all advanced endoscopic procedures, troubleshooting equipment issues during procedures, anticipating, and providing needs of physician during the procedures and assisting in delivering additional patient care before and after the procedures.
