Job duties Greet patients Coordinate patient flow, Coordinate social club flow, Assist with Social Club or clinical inquiries.
Clinic check-in Patients. Preparing and caring medical instruments and equipment used during endoscopic procedures. Responsible for maintaining clean examination areas by setting up rooms, cleaning instruments, and maintaining GI diagnostic equipment. An important part of your job includes sterilizing equipment between patients and adhering to infection control measures. Assisting physicians and nurses during exams or procedures. You may also collect stool, urine, and other bodily fluid specimens from patients. Experience procedures in EUS, EBUS, ERCP, BRONCHOSCOPY, UPPER AND COLONOSCOPY.
Cleaning of the Endo suites at the beginning of each day, using an antiviral solution and a lint free cloth on all horizontal surfaces.
At the end of the day, removing all extra equipment, putting away supplies and general tidying of the Endo suites and the department in general.
The Endoscopy/GI tech adheres with policies/procedures and protocols.
Competence in all areas of endoscopy, including Bronchoscopy, EGD's, Colonoscopies, ERCPs and/or any other procedures performed in the GI labs and Surgery suites
The Endoscopy/GI tech is expected to participate in problem solving related to both patient care and operational issues, ensuring the effective and efficient communication and work flow patterns support the department.
The Endoscopy/GI tech is expected to care for the endoscopes in a careful manner, ensuring that cleaning processes do not damage the scopes.
Assist with managing the scope inventory, reporting damages, sending and monitoring repairs.
