- Obtain information through on-line access to information systems such as; theMVA, District or Circuit Courts, and National Crime Information Center
- Verify Parole Commission policies regarding prior notifications of hearings
- Enter criminal history information regarding criminal convictions, violations of parole and juvenile history
- Travel to Institutions and county facilities within the Division of Corrections
- Advise the Incarcerated Individual verbally of the recommendation to the Commission
- Advise Incarcerated Individuals of parole process and rights of appeal
- Record recommendation on a recommendation/decision form
- Use State of Maryland operating system Offender Case Management System (OCMS) to enter recommendation from parole hearing
- Conduct administrative reviews of cases of Incarcerated Individuals serving a sentence of twenty five years or more
- Confer with administrative staff regarding affidavits for lawsuits
- Testify in court as a defendant in civil litigations brought by Incarcerated Individuals
- Remain current with community resources and treatment programs
