  • Review comprehensive case materials such as; Pre-Sentence Investigations, FBI Reports, Psychological, Psychiatric Reports,Victim Impact Statements; and Correspondence from the State's Attorney's Office
  • Obtain information through on-line access to information systems such as; theMVA, District or Circuit Courts, and National Crime Information Center
  • Verify Parole Commission policies regarding prior notifications of hearings
  • Enter criminal history information regarding criminal convictions, violations of parole and juvenile history
  • Travel to Institutions and county facilities within the Division of Corrections
  • Advise the Incarcerated Individual verbally of the recommendation to the Commission
  • Advise Incarcerated Individuals of parole process and rights of appeal
  • Record recommendation on a recommendation/decision form
  • Use State of Maryland operating system Offender Case Management System (OCMS) to enter recommendation from parole hearing
  • Conduct administrative reviews of cases of Incarcerated Individuals serving a sentence of twenty five years or more
  • Confer with administrative staff regarding affidavits for lawsuits
  • Testify in court as a defendant in civil litigations brought by Incarcerated Individuals
  • Remain current with community resources and treatment programs
