Currently I'm an E-Commerce clerk and Fuel Clerk at United Supermarkets. I am also a student at West Texas A&M University studying music education and am striving to pursue a degree in Music Education. I am an active musician proficient in several brass instruments and piano. The goal is to develop the necessary pedagogical practices to hone the craft of educating students in playing all types of wind instruments. Some of my previous experience as a Convenience Store Manager has helped me develop various practice in leadership and team building. I'm also familiar with delegating as well as organizing, coaching, and exercising proper communication skills in both work and non-work-related issues. The previous positions I've held include Convenience Manager, Fuel Clerk, Sandwich Artist, and a Private Lesson Teacher.
As a convenience manager, I encouraged positive reinforcement to the United Express team and taught them about company policies: i.e. the do's and don'ts of running a single kiosk Convenience store. By utilizing problem solving skills and delegation to effectively order, clean, stock various goods in the convenience store as well as maintain pumps at the gas station. Guests' satisfaction was the team's priority and that through creating positive experiences with them, they'd be encouraged to visit the store again and again.
When as a manager and still a clerk, it was important to practice effective cash control, reface (or restocks) of merchandise, help guests locate products, and listen to customer or even Management feedback. There was also active note taking with listening and noting the details of performing day-to-day functions in a convenience store and while in the main supermarket too. As a manager, I strived to provide friendly and personable customer service to all guests. Not to mention when the need arose provide maintenance by changing breakaways, hoses, and other manual work to the gas pumps.
While in food service at Subway, I was often in charge of properly prepping veggies, meats, and condiments needed for making sandwiches. We also baked bread and cookies too and provided quality control for all of these products by maintaining accurate temperature logs and following the proper procedures for discarding products that were no longer usable. Also provided effective assistance in preparing and cashing out various sandwich meals as well as catering orders too.
During my previous times at WTAMU, I taught private lessons for French horn for several students in the Panhandle Region. I also drove out to Plainview and taught various lessons for students at the High School there too. While giving private lessons, students learned about various brass lip exercises and received coaching on how to play solos, band pieces, and smaller ensemble work from my teaching. Additionally I also gave a few basic music theory lessons to students wanting to learn more about music too.

Just an active hobby I have outside of work. It's an active tabletop game of story telling through roleplaying characters and creating fictional worlds for them to interact with.
