Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up demonstration supplies and serving area:
  • Locate necessary products, appliances, equipment, and signage.
  • Safely assemble demonstration cart/table, construct/set-up/display materials, insert price signs, display product information.
  • Prepare area by cleaning and sanitizing required items necessary to complete the demonstration.
  • Conduct demonstration event:
  • Engage members in a professional and memorable manner which educates or generates enthusiasm for products through creating brand awareness and driving sales.
  • Follow demonstration specific and food safety instructions; shop for, prepare and serve product samples to members.
  • Safely move around retail areas, such as staging areas, coolers/freezers, sales floor, or other event spaces.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, stoop, stand and move on your feet around demonstration area for up to 6 hours.
  • Break down demonstration supplies and serving area:
  • Dispose of unused product samples, ingredients, serving tools and event materials as outlined in demonstration specific instructions.
  • Clean and sanitize reusable equipment, utensils, and surfaces before storing for future demonstrations.
  • Safely store reusable equipment, utensils, carts, or tables in retail storage areas in clean, organized manner.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

  • Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment, which may include working in variable temperatures such as refrigerated areas, freezer sections and deli/bakery areas. The position typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday performing the following activities:
  • Engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use consumer goods products, prepare, and serve food and beverages safely as appropriate for the product demonstration.
