Last year I volunteered with the Rec Team at Camp Latham Springs during The Best Week Ever.

While volunteering:

• I welcomed students and helped create an atmosphere of team spirit through the week as we built relationships, offered opportunities for friendly competition, and encouraged their personal growth through activities and devotions!
• I assisted with Recreational activities by gathering materials and equipment, preparing games, and encouraging students to try new things, their best, and to never give up! We provided activities that helped them demonstrate teamwork as they worked together for the activity. These are life skills they will continue to grow in that is necessary for so many present and future opportunities.
• We got the students prepared for worship with fun songs, audience participation, and being a role model around the campus!

Two years ago, I volunteered with our church for The Best Week Ever as a Jr. Camp Counselor.

As a Jr Counselor, I:

• assisted students by being there for them and helping them with various needs like; encouragement, safety, rules and expectations, flexibility, and motivation.
• led small group devotions and opportunities for self reflection and deeper connections with Christ.
• Was a role model to make sure everyone felt included, excited, needed, loved, and ready to have fun for the week no matter what foods were being served, activities we were participating in, and how tired the kids were.

Since 2019, I have worked for my grandfather's landscaping company for several weeks out of each summer.

As a Lawn Care Worker, I:

• Weeded gardens and flower beds.
• Raked leaves, spread mulch and removed debris from grounds.
• Trimmed trees and shrubs around the property to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensured safety protocols are followed while performing job duties.
• Adhered to company policies regarding safety standards at all times.
• Installed new sod or seed for grass growth in areas of the lawn that were damaged or bare.
• Cut and trimmed lawns using power mowers and edgers.
• Performed preventative maintenance to keep equipment in excellent working condition.
• Used hand tools to break up clumps of dirt and transplant seedlings.
