My name is Chidubem Ebiem, I am a high school graduate, and I am 19 years old. I have strong experience working as both a cashier and in childcare. In my role as a cashier, I developed excellent customer service skills, efficiently handled transactions, and maintained a positive and professional attitude in fast-paced retail environments. I am comfortable managing money, operating point-of-sale systems, and ensuring a smooth and friendly customer experience. Alongside my retail experience, I have a strong background in caring for children, including those with autism. I have provided consistent, hands-on care for family members and children in my community, supporting their daily routines, emotional needs, and development. I understand the importance of patience, clear communication, and structure, especially when working with children who require additional support. I am reliable, compassionate, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all children.
As a Recreation Counselor, I was responsible for supervising and engaging groups of children in a variety of structured and recreational activities. My role included ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants while creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. I gained hands-on experience leading games, organizing group activities, and assisting with meal and rest times. A key part of my responsibilities involved caring for children with different needs, including those on the autism spectrum. I developed strong communication and observation skills, allowing me to recognize when a child needed extra support or a sensory break. I worked closely with other staff members to provide consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement, ensuring each child felt comfortable, understood, and included.
