Summary

Hi! my name is Chris, I would love to join your team.

I am an avid writer, who has spent 90 minutes each day for 10+ years now learning the craft from numerous sources on my own. My central focus in my own studies and writing is folklore and comedy, both writing sketch and performing/teaching improv. I know what I have is truly special and I can communicate it in a way I haven't seen, using the most modern techniques and structures. I had to become a teacher, it was too important. In my years subbing, it's clear that my compassion, instruction and humor quickly builds rapport with students. Everyday at least a couple kids tell me I'm their favorite sub. They feel seen, and I simply act in a way that gets them to want to be their best self. My ability to connect through group discussion turns my students into a community, one where we all are supportive and cooperative.
