  • I have tons of experience in scheduling; I have been in the medical field for 30 years, doing a little bit of everything. I was a radiology scheduler and had to schedule procedures for the radiologist. I was an Office Coordinator in Radiology scheduling, instructing patients on prep prior to procedures. I now gather the necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients, and I enter it into the appropriate database. I seek appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures.
    I schedule patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources. I assist with the coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification and authorization.
    I have to provide counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements, communicating with patients, participants, and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures.
